The Petrykivka`s community hosted families of IDP

On Sunday, June 11, the final integration event for the participants of the project "IDPs and host communities: building tolerance through dialogue" was held. This project "is  implemented by the NGO "Women's Information Coordination Center" in partnership with the international charity fund "Ukrainian Women's Fund" with the support of the fund C.S. Mott Foundation
As part of the on-going meeting, the project participants,  with their children, visited the village communities of Petrykivskyi district, as well as acquainted with the traditions of the Prydniprovya, the historical peculiarities of the settlement of this region, the principles of the common peaceful life of many peoples and cultures that have chosen Dnipropetrovsk region as their new homeland.

Changes in communities by joint efforts of settlers and loca

On Wednesday, June 7, a round table discussion within the framework of the project "IDPs and host communities: building tolerance through dialogue" took place at Parle conference center. This project is implemented by the NGO "Women's Information and Coordination Center" in partnership with the international charity fund "Ukrainian Women's Fund" with the support of the fund C.S. Mott Foundation
The event was attended by about 50 people, including representatives of NGOs and initiatives from Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions, as well as representatives of state authorities and local government.
In particular, during the round table, the adviser of the Ministry of Social Policy and IDPs in Dnipropetrovsk region, Grigory Bibik, advisor to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Vyacheslav Makarov, deputy mayors of the cities of Novomoskovsk and Pavlograd, spoke.
The purpose of the event was to discuss the results of the project with representatives of state authorities and local government, NGOs working with IDPs, and the internally displaced persons themselves, in order to take further steps to promote the integration of IDPs into local communities.
During the round table presentation of the communities of the three cities where the project was implemented (Dnipro, Novomoskovsk, Kamyanske) and the presentation of the results of the projects promoting the integration of the IDPs in the local communities by the winners of the mini-grant competition in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Colleagues from the Kharkiv oblast - Center of Gender Culture -  joined the presentation of the results of the mini-projects and community profile.
In addition, Internally Displaced Persons themselves have made proposals to state and local government to develop and implement programs for addressing IDPs  problems and their more active involvement in decision-making.

Future entrepreneurs presented their business ideas

On May 24, the 10th, final module of the training cycle for the project "Economic Opportunities for People Affected by Conflict” was held in Parle conference center.
The participants presented their own business ideas, on which they worked during the previous nine training modules. The final stage of the day was the  disposal of certificates. Then all the graduates  who have successfully completed the trainee will be able to take part in the grant competition.
